GeoFeed for X shows which countries the accounts in your feed are based in, using the Account based in detail X already shows on profiles. Choose the countries and regions to highlight, then audit who you follow and who follows you.

How it works

  • Highlight what matters to you

    Choose any number of countries and regions, each with its own colour. A country rule overrides a regional rule. Highlights appear on timelines, Followers and Following pages. This uses X’s Account based in field only, never a name, photograph, biography or written profile location.

  • Audit who you follow

    Following Audit and Followers Audit list those accounts with their own country and region filters. Matches Only, Show All, Pause and Exit controls are built in, and manual unfollows on your Following page are tracked. GeoFeed never follows or unfollows for you.

  • Stay in control

    Use the GeoFeed button on X or the toolbar menu to change settings. Set an optional timed Home refresh from 30 seconds to 10 minutes. Advanced settings refresh or clear the country cache and clear the audit history.

Install

  1. Download and extract the ZIP. Keep the extracted folder somewhere permanent.
  2. Open your browser’s Extensions page and turn on Developer mode.
  3. Choose Load unpacked, then select the extension folder inside the extracted release. It contains manifest.json.
  4. Refresh X while signed into your own account. Open the extension’s toolbar popup to choose your settings.

Good to know

Checks happen gradually.
Country checks run at a limited pace, at most 20 every 10 minutes across all tabs, with Followers and Following rows first. If X does not provide a country, the account stays unmarked. X can change its site or limit requests.
Stored in your browser.
Settings and cached results stay in local extension storage. Requests use your own signed-in X session, with no Pocket Giant server or API key.
Desktop browser extension.
This download is an unpacked extension for desktop Brave and Chrome, not a native Mac application. Keep its extracted folder in place after installation.

Made by Pocket Giant. The ZIP includes the complete extension source, icons, installation instructions and file checksums. No build tools are needed to install it.
