Pawdle

Guess today's hidden dog-themed word. Use the colour clues to solve it in six tries.

  • Type any real English word and press Enter to guess.
  • Green tiles mean the letter is in the right spot. Amber tiles mean the letter is in the word but the wrong spot. Dark tiles mean the letter is not in the word at all.
  • Solve in fewer guesses to earn more points on the weekly Pawdle leaderboard.
  • A new word every day. Come back tomorrow.

Group the dog words

Connect Paws

Group sixteen words into four hidden categories. Every word belongs to exactly one group.

  • Select four words you think share a connection, then tap Submit.
  • A correct group is revealed in its colour. You have four mistakes before the puzzle ends.
  • Watch out for words that could fit more than one group – only one solution is correct.
  • Find more groups with fewer mistakes to earn more points. Colours run from easiest to hardest.
  • If you’re one word away from a group, the game will tell you.

Paw Paths

Tap or drag from one dog portrait to its matching pair. Every square on the board must be filled.

  • Each puzzle has pairs of matching dog portraits. Connect each pair with one continuous path.
  • Paths can only move through neighbouring squares – up, down, left, or right. No diagonals.
  • Paths cannot cross or share any square.
  • Fill every square on the board to complete the puzzle. Fewer corrections and moves earn more points. Stuck? Submit board scores the pairs you have connected.

Weekly Scoring

Each game has its own independent weekly leaderboard. Scores reset every Monday.

  • 100 points per game per day: up to 90 from your puzzle result, plus up to 10 from that game’s streak.
  • Play on consecutive days to build your bonus: 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, then 10 points maximum. Each extra day adds 2, up to the cap.
  • Missing a day resets only that game’s streak. A new week doesn’t reset it.

Your game points come from how many pairs you join, less 5 for every Undo or Remove line. Changing a line is one Remove, so it costs 5 in total and drawing it again is free. Extra moves and Reset cost nothing, there is no speed bonus, and scores never go below 0.

Board not finished, submitted as it stands: you score for the pairs joined, one short of a full board at most. From Monday 26 October 2026.

No speed bonus in Connect Paws or Paw Paths. Leaderboards were monthly until 30 September, and September’s final champions were decided under those original rules.
